People have declared war on America, and they have made a terrible mistake, because this is a fabulous country. Our economy will come back. We'll still be the best farmers and ranchers in the world. We're still the most innovative entrepreneurs in the world. We will rid the world of the evil-doers. We will call together freedom loving people to fight Barbarism.

We've never seen this kind of evil before. But the evil-doers have never seen the American people in action before, either - and they're about to find out.

Freedom and fear are at war. The advance of human freedom -- the great achievement of our time, and the great hope of every time -- now depends on us. Our nation -- this generation -- will lift a dark threat of violence from our people and our future. We will rally the world to this cause by our efforts, by our courage. We will not tire, we will not falter, and we will not fail.

Barbarians try to operate in the shadows. They try to hide. But we're going to shine the light of justice on them.

Now is the time to draw the line in the sand against the evil ones. And this government is committed to doing just that.

I also want to remind my fellow Americans as we round up the evildoers, as we look for those who might harm our fellow Americans, we must remember not to violate the rights of the innocent.

Our war is not against a religion. Our war is against evil.
